In order to welcome the Year of the Horse, the seventh and eighth grade students of our school held an art activity titled 'Horses Celebrating the New Year, Happiness Embroidered in Beauty'. To be concrete, students created works such as 'Painting Horses with Added Happiness' and 'Horse Year Spring Festival Couplets' in their classes, integrating calligraphy and traditional elements. Also, they recorded the creative process and submitted their works.
Overall, the works of this event have been displayed in the foyer and pasted at the entrance of each class. In the meantime, the awards for the best design, innovation and effect were all given to the respective winners. More remarkably, not only did the event showcase the charm of calligraphy but also deepened students' recognition of traditional culture, thus adding a warm atmosphere of the New Year to the campus.
